Shaheed Bhai Sukhwinder Singh Pappu Gora

Deputy Chief Khalistan Commando Force

Bhai Sahib was born in 1965in the house of Sardar Santokh Singh and from the womb of Mata Sawaran Kaur, in village Dhandayala Najjaar, dist Gurdaspur. Bhai Sahib studied at a local high school. Waheguru had gifted Bhai Sahib with inner beauty as well as outer beauty too. Bhai Sahib was smart in all ways, and always touched the feet of elders, no matter what religion or colour, and took their blessings.

After the attack on Darbar Sahib Shri Harimandir Sahib, Delhi killings of innocent Sikhs and the Kanpur massacre many Sikhs, including Bhai Sahib joined the Sikh Freedom Movement to free Sikhs from the chain of slavery.

Bhai Sahib came to Dam Dama Sahib to take amrit of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and to complete his santhaya of gurbani by Jathedar Gurdev Singh Kaunke. Bhai Sahib started doing sewa of being one of the Panj Pyare at amrit sanchars. As Bhai Sahib did this sewa the police kept a close eye on many singhs as well as Bhai Sahib. Soon the police wanted to arrest Bhai Sahib, they started searching every location to find Bhai Sahib. To avoid being arrested Bhai Sahib went underground. Bhai Sahib then joined Khalistan Commando Force under the command of Bhai Sukhdev Singh Chhamka. After the shaheedi of Bhai Sukhdev Singh Chhamka, the missions of KCF got even tougher, whereas before the KCF fought against the forces of the corrupt government, now they would take on and punish dushts who would rob Sikhs and did looting. These enemies of the panth were first warned, but if they did not stop they would be killed and sent to hell by the true Khalsa. Bhai Sahib also did sewa with KCF of Maja area with Bhai Gurjant Singh Rajastani. Because the knowledge Bhai Sahib had on gurbani and the enormous amount of sewa that Bhai Sahib had done, Bhai Sahib was elected as a member of Panthic Committee and also given the role of Deputy Chief of Khalistan Commando Force. When the Sikh Freedom Movement got more active the Indian Government deployed the Army in the 3 areas. Gurdaspur, Ferozpur and Amritsar were patrolled by Punjab Police, BSF, CRPF and Home Guard, but now the Indian Government deployed the Army there too. The Army patrolling the 3 areas like wild dogs, looking for singhs. But Bhai Sahib made a national announcement stating, “The Indian Government has taken one more of their weapons[army] out of its case and is using it against the Sikhs. But we the true Khalsa of the Guru Gobind Singh Ji will greet them with Martyrdom. We won’t run from the battlefield, and neither will we surrender. Our mind is set on getting equal rights for Sikhs.” Bhai Sahib always prayed to Waheguru to never let him be caught by the police alive, instead asked to give his life for the panth and to be a shaheed on the battlefield.

27th January 1992 in village karnama, dist Gurdaspur, a traitor of the panth had informed the police that there are singhs in the village. The police came equipped with guns and assault rifles to the village and started searching each and every house. Bhai Sahib, Bhai Daljit Singh Rangeenpura and Bhai Prem Singh Kalia Bhamania were in the village. ASP Rupinder Singh, DSP Teja Singh were running this operation under the command of ASI Kashmira Singh, the police forces had surrounded the village, they were searching house by house but had no luck in finding the Jhujahru Singhs. As this operation was carried out in the morning the villagers were going to the fields to carry out their daily duties, but the police started detaining the villagers in the local school in the village. The police just could not find the Jhujarus, so they were getting ready to leave the village. ASP Rupinder Singh was walking back to his jeep, someone or somehow the ASI was informed that the singhs might be in a house just outside of the village. ASP and his forces made their way to that house. The house from outside looked like a normal house and didn’t look like that the Jhujarus would be staying here. As soon as the police had entered the house, Jhujarus started firing at the police forces with AK47. The police had not expected to be greeting with bullets. They tried to run out of the house, but many of them were killed by the raining bullets of the true Jhujarus. In this battle the ASP Rupinder Singh, DSP Teja Singh and ASI Kashmira Singh were killed along with 36 more policemen and many more were injured. From this battle Bhai Daljit Singh Rangeenpura and Bhai Prem Singh Kalia Bhamania had made a safe getaway, but Bhai Sahib started collecting all the guns of the police, and whoever was injured, to him Bhai Sahib gave a cold death with a bullet to the head. As Bhai Sahib was leaving the village police officers that were hiding, cowardly shot towards Bhai Sahib, which hit Bhai Sahib in the thigh. Bhai Sahib after being shot could not walk. Bhai Sahib did not want to get caught by the police, so Bhai Sahib turned his gun towards himself and shot himself and attained shaheedi. Bhai Sahib stuck to what he had said, never to be caught by the police and to attain shaheedi in the battlefield. Bhai Sahib showed the world the real encounter between Jhujarus and the police forces, and that the Indian government was no match to a true Khalsa. The world would sing shaheedi vaaran of Bhai Sahibs shaheedi of 28th January 1992. Shaheed Bhai Sukhwinder Singh Pappu Gora’s sewa would be a milestone in the Sikh Freedom Movement and also in the mission towards Khalistan.
