Shaheed Bhai Kuldeep Singh Valtoha

Bhindranwala Tiger Force of Khalistan

Bhai Kuldip Singh was born in the year 1973 to the blessed womb of mother, Mata Ranjit Kaur and father, Jathedar Sardar Harbans Singh in the village of Valtoha, Patti, district Tarn Taran. Bhai Kuldip Singh studied up to fifth grade at the local government school of Valtoha, after which he went on to work alongside his father cultivating their family-owned land. They also owned a dairy farm and would sell the milk.

Following the struggle for Khalistan uprise in Punjab and the armed struggle that followed after the attack on Sri Harmandir Sahib in June 1984, Bhai Kuldip Singh joined forces with local Jhujaru Singhs to fight for Khalistan. He joined Bhindranwala Tiger Force of Khalistan under the command of Lieutenant General Bhai Surjit Singh Seetal Jhakhar. Bhai Kuldip Singh left his family home to dedicate his life to the movement. He served for up to five months. He was very close with his Jhujaru brother, Bhai Kulwinder Singh Deol also of village Valtoha.

One day Bhai Kuldip Singh and his fellow Jhujaru Singh Bhai Gurdeep Singh (village Chanchak) were enroute to collect firearms, but unfortunately came across Punjab police checkpoint near the village of Dhedrewal (near Gagobua). A fierce confrontation took place and both Jhujaru Singhs were struck with bullets and attained Shaheedi (martyrdom).
