Assassination of DSP Sharma

The CRPF is mainly filled with Hindu soldiers, before and after 1984, CRPF have openly shot and killed or harassed Sikhs of Punjab. On 4thApril 1984, Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale assigned Bhai Gurjit Singh (President of All India Sikh Student Federation), Bhai Gurdev Singh Usmanwala, Bhai Harbhajan Singh Mand and Bhai Balwinder Singh Berianwala (writer of this article) to stop the racist attacks of Shiv Sena in Ferozpur’s salt market. These Jhujaru Singhs had a great battle with the monkeys of Shiv Sena at the salt market, and in the end Shiv Sena workers ran into a nearby Mandir to save their lives, 13 Shiv Sena workers were killed. After this the Punjab Police announced a curfew in Ferozpur City, which last for 10 days. By now thousands of Sikhs had come into the city from their villages, it was the Shiv Sena leader of Ferozpur, Bhupindra who threw stones and bricks at the local Gurudwara. At this moment the Singhs were at Baghdadi Gate. Some days later the sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj sent Bhupindra to hell. All the Hindu extremist groups of Ferozpur bought in the DSP of the CRPF Mr Sharma, soon as DSP Sharma came into Ferozpur, he took 13 Nihang Singhs off a bus and shot them dead in broad daylight in the middle of Ferozpur Central. This DSP was given a lot of money from the racist Hindu groups.

During 1987-88, DSP Sharma was arresting innocent Sikh youth and torturing them and in some cases killing them in fake encounters. If DSP Sharma saw a Sikh walking while he was on petrol he would stop them and start torturing them, he would lay them on the road and drive his gipsy over their legs. DSP Sharma was also known to sexually attack daughters and sisters of Sikhs. DSP Sharma once brutally attacked a Gursikh family with the help of his team on the out skirts of Marhi Menghe, he mocked the Gursikh family, “I will see how you follow your Guru Gobind Singh Bajanwala.” This happened in the year of 1987-88.

The DSP will not allow Gurudwara to have a speaker for Amritvela. The mother from the Gursikh family went to the Jhujaru Singhs and explained how the DSP has challenged Dhan Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj and his Singhs. The Mata Ji told the Singhs, “If you are the Singhs of Dasam Patshah, then show the DSP stars in the day”. In these days Singhs had just got their hands on new equipment. For 4-5 days the Singhs followed the DSP but didn’t quite manage to complete their mission, then one day all the Singhs agreed to do Degh in the feet of Dhan Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj and do Ardas for the blessing to complete this mission and send the evil DSP on a one-way trip to hell. The following night at 9.10pm the Singhs made Degh as they recited Sri Jap Ji Sahib, and as the Degh cooled the Singhs recited sampuran Sri Anand Sahib. Then the Singhs recited 3 prayers of Sri Chaupai Sahib. Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale use to tell the Singhs that if any sewa was not progressing then to make Degh following the above Maryada and sewa will be completed. So at 11pm on the same night Singhs had the Gurudwara of Bramniwala village opened, for 2 hours the Singhs recited even more Gurbani. Together at 1am the Singhs did Ardas and did Parkash of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, the Singhs then took Hukamnama and Guru Maharaj had clearly said to the Singhs in the Hukamnama, that the evil doer will come if front of the Singhs to be killed.

The following night at 3am the Singhs took positions near the Marhi Mengha’s crossroads. The drunk DSP Sharma was driving his gipsy with his search lights on and slowly approaching the Jhujaru Singhs. When the distance between the Jhujaru Singhs and the DSP reduced to 20 meters, the sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj opened fire. The DSP and his CRPF had no chance of escaping and were put on one-way was ride to hell. The nearby villages gave out sweets when they got the news of DSP Sharma had been killed by the Singh’s.
