Shaheed Bhai Baldev Singh Khalsa

Bhindranwala Tigers Force of Khalistan

When crime and injustice increases, a person comes to the earth, who loves his/her faith and does not tolerate the beadbi of Guru Maharaj or the faith and its people.

Shaheed Bhai Baldev Singh was named Khalsa amongst the khadku  jathebandis. Bhai Sahib was from village Sheik Daulat district Ludhiana. Bhai Sahib was born in 1965 in the house of Sardar Jaswant Singh. Bhai Sahib had 3 brothers and 3 sisters. After studying at a local college till BA, Bhai Sahib went to Dubai and stayed there with Bhai Jasbir Singh, there Bhai Sahib took the Amrit of Dasmesh Pita. Bhai Sahib stayed in Dubai for 5 years, and then returned home. Bhai Sahib got married to an Amritdhari woman. After the marriage Bhai Sahib went Bombay to work for a short while and then to Dubai for a year. When Bhai Sahib returned home, Bhai Sahibs wife had broken her Amrit, Bhai Sahib was angry and divorced his wife. Bhai Sahib was strict on Sikh Rehat, if he saw anyone breaking rehat then he would tell them. After some time Bhai Sahib went America, but Bhai Sahib was refused entry from America and came back to India. On his return, the police had arrested Bhai Sahib after he tried to escape but was caught and locked up at Sidhva Police Station. There Bhai Sahib was blindly tortured for 8 days. Bhai Sahib did not admit to anything and was then released. It took 2 months for Bhai Sahib to recover physically, but he was still mentally shocked of the treatment given by the police. The police did not stop and kept on harassing Bhai Sahib. Bhai Sahib had stopped sleeping at home and started sleeping in the fields. Finally Bhai Sahib made the choice of joining Bindrawala Tiger Force, Rashpal Singh Chhandran Group. Through Bhai Sahibs great sewa, the whole jathebandi started to like him. One day Bhai Sahibs father Sardar Jaswant Singh asked Bhai Sahib to get married, but Bhai Sahib bravely replied “I’m engaged  to death, and I will only marry death.” For 2 years Bhai Sahib did pure and hard sewa for the panth.

After an informant gave information of Bhai Sahib and 4 other singhs from the jatha, Bhai Davinder Singh Paot, Bhai Balwinder Singh Kaka and Bhai Sarmukh Singh the police had surrounded the area. In this fierce encounter with the Indian Forces the whole Jatha attained shaheedi. Bhai Sahib was 27 when he joined the endless list of shaheeds on 20th June 1992. The panth will always remember such warriors.
