Shaheed Bhai Anar Singh Para

Khalistan Liberation Force

It is proven in many Amnesty International reports that India as a country has discriminated its citizens of minority faiths, but no country such as America and England have stood with the Sikhs. India took full advantage of no country getting involved by killing innocent Sikh youth during the time of Sikh Freedom Movement. Blessed are those souls that have sacrificed the happiness of their families and fulfilled the duties/responsibility of the panth. Amongst these brave warriors is the name of Bhai Anar Singh Para.

In the district of Amritsar, Tehsil Patti village Kalian Sakatran which is right on the border of Pakistan and India, many Sikh youths of this village have given their lives within the armed struggle for Khalistan, blessed are those mothers who gave birth to these warriors. In the house of Sardar Ajit Singh and Mata Surinder Kaur gave birth to their son, Bhai Anar Singh Para in 1971. Bhai Sahib may not have gained the full education from school, understanding the injustices of mankind Bhai Sahib had the nickname Para attached to his name. Bhai Sahib spoke to everyone with respect and even today the locals do not get tired of praising Bhai Sahib.

Operation Bluestar which consisted on attacking the Sikh throne, Sri Akaal Takht Sahib with tanks and cannons left many Sikh youths wanting revenge. In the village of Kalian Sakatran, no one felt the pain of Sri Akaal Takht Sahib as much as Bhai Sahib. Bhai Sahib decided to sacrifice the life of luxuries and preferred to walk on the path of revolution which was filled with needles.

In 1988, Bhai Sahib met Khalistan Liberation Force’s Bhai Gurdeep Singh Vakeel. Bhai Sahib started doing sewa of the panth day and night with all his heart. Looking at Bhai Sahib’s actions of bravery, the Chief General of Khalistan Liberation Force Bhai Gurjant Singh Budhsinghwala appointed Bhai Sahib as Lt General and gave Bhai Sahib another nickname of Chhota Brahma as well as Bhai Para. As Bhai Sahib’s area was near the border of Pakistan, he was also nicknamed Border Da Badshah (King of the Border). Bhai Sahib had contact with singhs from other freedom fighting groups also, due to Bhai Sahib’s politeness and bravery all the singhs of Sikh Freedom Movements respected Bhai Sahib.

Bhai Sahib only thought of Indian government as the enemy and did sewa by punishing only the officials of the Indian government. Bhai Sahib never killed nor allowed fellow singhs to kill innocent people. On many occasions Bhai Sahib had encounters with the Indian security forces and every time he escaped unharmed with his group. Almost 12 singhs from Bhai Sahib’s village gave their lives for Khalistan, amongst these singhs was Shaheed Bhai Pipal Singh Toofan who was the son of Bhai Sahib’s Chacha (Father’s Brother). On 16thFebruary 1991, Bhai Sahib married Bibi Harjit Kaur and on 13thMay 1992, Bibi Harjit Kaur gave birth to Bhai Sahib’s daughter.

On 27thMay 1992 while Bhai Sahib was in Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib, Nanded an informant told the police of Bhai Sahib. Bhai Sahib was surrounded by the Indian security forces and involved in a fierce encounter in which after many hours Bhai Sahib attained shaheedi.
